"Myself and my girlfriend were staying in Mallaig and arrived late and were turned away from another rest as it was 20:00 we saw the lights on up at the Terrace so thought we would try it out. upon arrival I could tell that we were just in time to make the cut off. The head waiter said they could accommodate and we were shown to our seats. The place was very nice, elegantly set up with great music selection. The staff were very attentive and friendly and were very helpful in choosing the right dish for pregnant GF. Julie was absolutely lovely and explained it was their first night opening again after a devastating arson attack shut them down. The food was very good, I had Cullen skink to start which was lovely as was the bread it was served with. My GF had deconstructed chicken cesar salad which was also lovely and an interesting interpretation of the dish. We both had braised beef with sautéed sprouts and truffle mash which was very nice. We also had a complimentary glass of Prosecco and a passion fruit sorbet as a pallet cleanser. Overall we loved our experience and the chef even popped out to make sure we were happy, he is clearly very capable and long may it continue! All the best guys, you deserve good fortune!"

"Stopped by whilst on our Honeymoon. We were very well looked after by the staff, they made sure everything was perfect and were very lovely and chatty. Even though it was very busy and the place pretty much filled up about 5 mins after we sat down (we were the first ones in) we never felt rushed for time which was good. The food was stunning! Little pricey but it was worth every penny. My husband and I were blown away by how tasty it was, I think it's ruined scallops anywhere else for us now . You can really tell how fresh it is. "I visited this restaurant to inquire about gluten-free options and was pleased to discover that many of their starters are indeed gluten-free. They even have a separate fryer for the chips and were open to suggesting modifications for a couple of dishes to accommodate my needs. I decided on the oven-baked haddock served with baby potatoes and vegetables. It was fresh and absolutely delicious. The staff were very helpful and well-informed about my dietary concerns, taking the time to communicate with the kitchen to avoid any misunderstandings. Overall, it’s a lovely place, and I would definitely recommend it!"

"As vegetarians, there's not much choice in Mallaig as a fishing town, but we ordered their veggie option the Broccoli, Carrot Coconut Curry with chips to takeaway and was very disappointed . It was literally just boiled veg with a watery curry-like drizzle with onion on top and chips were not the best either. We know they're quality is probably in the fij products but for £13 quid each it was a bit of a rip off for what we got. We would have been better off paying just for chips for £3 and curry sauce. Had we ordered this in the restaurant I would have asked for a refund and left. But it was the only dinner option left at 8pm on a Thursday. Veggies be warned!"
