Ristorante di stampo tradizionale ma con un tocco di particolarità. Molto buona la parmigiana mantecata col formaggio (i gamberi sopra non legavano, però), buona la pasta, ottima la carne. Non male i dolci. Sicuramente una ottima scelta a Locarno. Visualizza piatti

Locale medio-piccolo nel centro della città di Locarno, molto grazioso ed accogliente, servizio molto curato, piatti deliziosi.Il locale è chiuso di domenica e lunedì, queste indicazioni non si trovano sul sito web, che sembra non essere aggiornatissimo!!!

not everyday compositions are conjured here to the teller and the service is very attentive. unfortunately the waiter has not recommended a white merlot "there is no white tessiner merlot that is drinkable" - and so a waiter in no tessiner restaurant can express himself, especially if the gast is a tessiner and comes from a wine production family! unbelievable...... Das Essen entspricht wirklich den Bewertungen, nur war die Bedienung alles andere als aufmerksam. Wir mussten nachfragen für unser Retourgeld, gerne geben wir Trinkgeld wenn es stimmt, aber es war offensichtlich, dass es so nicht gemeint war. Die Chefin hat sich danach auch entschuldigt. Was uns aber zu keiner Rückkehr bewegen wird ist der Gestank von der gegenüberliegenden Mülltonne, hässlich bei 30 Grad im Schatten. Ein Dankeschön in die Küche, dafür sind auch die drei Punkte.

A very good menu, we ordered a salmon tartare and a beef tartare, ravioli for two, but I find that 3 pieces of ravioli per person may not be enough. In any case, for me, who is a big eater, I would have appreciated 2 more ravioli. Then my wife had the veal steak and I had the branzini and finally the desserts. The menu is really tasting, the beef tartare with truffle oil is really good. I'm going to try to make the 3 pieces of ravioli with morels at home. I had wanted to visit this restaurant for a while, so my expectations were high - and more than met on a quiet Saturday afternoon having lunch on the cozy terrace. Everything we (my husband and I) ate tasted fresh and delicious. Ours was not a special occasion, but if we weren't already married I'd certainly include Da Valentino on a shortlist of wedding party locations - excellent food, excellent service (and impressively multilingual - I overheard the same waiter speaking very fluently to three different parties in three different languages) and a suitably romantic setting with different size rooms for different needs.
