"We visited while on our first night in cornwall after a 4 hr drive and 2 tired hungry boys! With hubbys family being italian we always end up having pasta or pizza somewhere no matter what!! So the hunt was on to feed 3 hungry men. We stumbled across the cute little restaurant by chance walking by from the car park. The waitress was lovely and friendly and very accomodating to the boys despite the restaurant not being prepared for kids at all. They kindly did a smaller version of the adults meals for them and eldest polished the lot off. I had meatballs which was epic and a massive portion. They were proper meaty, whichs rare to find, and al-dente pasta. Hubby had raviolli which apparently was also delicious. House Wine was lush too!!! All in all a lovely place for a good italian meal and a nice change from the boring samey chains. Will be back if in the area again!"

We had a lovely welcome at Giuseppe's, and had lovely and authentic food. I particularly liked my mozarella starter, and my partner's pizza was perfect

Have passed this restaurant so many times and not eaten here, tonight however it was my choice on where to eat so ‘Guiseppes’ it was (the husband isn’t a massive Italian food fan). Best choice ever.......that is all (and he agreed)!!

Unfortunately there are not many restaurants in Cornwall that serve really good quality food. Giuseppes was a very pleasant surprise – the staff were lovely, the food was super tasty (amazing raviolli), good portions and reasonably priced. Go check them out!

None of the Touristy restaurant about this place, really nice food and wines and really nice people. If you have ever eaten abroad in Italy Or Sardinia you will see family restaurants like this everywhere (where the locals eat!!! . You truly get the Italian feel... lovely people. Eating again there with friends, Prego....... Visualizza piatti

First of all unwelcoming, had one table in (5 people) so was to busy to fit in a table for two because they where expecting a table of four later in the evening. Ok fine how about you just advertise for bookings only or atleast explain it might be a while and offer a drink or something. Dont really want to go any deeper as it wouldnt be fair as we didnt get to try the food but after reading some of the sarcastic and slightly agressive replies to peoples reviews id rather not give this place our custom

We chose to go here after a cinema trip. We chose it over another Italian out of town. Whilst I can 't fault the quality of the food we had, (carbonara and garlic bread), I would comment that the menu was less than extensive . This is an Italian restaurant and yet ther 's no lasagne on the menu. Pro secco is the most famous of the Italian bubbles but no small bottles for diners who 'd like a glass. (Not sold by the glass either.....?? The atmosphere is pretty bland, so not likely to revisit, which is a shame but Simply telling how it is.

We came here after a day at the beach and wanted a quick meal before traveling home. When we arrived we were really hungry so we were very happy to find breadsticks on our table- this was a nice touch. The woman working at the bar was very friendly and chatted to us about our day and recommend places to visit in St Ives. The food arrived quickly and was very tasty- the pasta was cooked perfectly and the pizza was a big hit too! Giuseppes is a small restaurant and didn’t seem very busy, it deserves more customers. I would definitely recommend eating here! Visualizza piatti

We have eaten at Giuseppe's on numerous occasions, in fact it is our place of choice now to eat out and we are lucky enough to have it located only a stones throw away. The food is always freshly prepared, the waitresses are very welcoming and attentive and all in all, I couldn't fault it. The portion sizes are good, we never leave hungry and we find that compared to other restaurants in the area, Giuseppe's is extremely good value for money. The menu has a varied choice that caters for everyone's pallet. If you are looking for authentic Italian cuisine, I would absolutely recommend going to Giuseppe's every time.

Attending a family funeral in Helston we found ourselves in Giuseppes when we managed to grab a bite to eat very quickly. The restaurant was small and welcoming and the waitress couldn't have been nicer. I had a pizza and my wife a chicken pasta dish, both were outstanding and served with a bottle of the house red which was a Montepulciano made it perfect. Indeed finding ourselves at a lose end the following night we returned to the restaurant and ate again! My wife had the sea bass that was beautifully presented and I had the seafood pasta dish, both delicious. We were pretty down due to circumstance by the friendly atmosphere in Giuseppes coupled with lovely food and wine cheered us up no...

"We were staying in Porthleven, so booked Kota in advance, as we were aware of this interesting restaurant from previous holidays in Porthleven. We had the six-course dinner menu with the wine pairing, for which my food allergy was well catered for as most dishes were the same as my partner’s. The initial three “snacks” were a delight, as the flavours and textures made them delicious. The second course of BBQ leeks and mussels were an amazing combination of flavour and texture. The third course of beet curds, molasses, and chia seeds was a delightful combination, and I say this as someone who doesn’t really like beetroot. It made the beetroot the sweetest I have ever tasted without overpowering its flavour. The fourth course of brown crab sauce with the seabass was delicious. The fifth course of pork belly with accompaniments was superb. For dessert we had “Milk and Honey”, a white chocolate mousse, Porthleven honey, caramelised milk powder, and soda bread ice cream, which was a wonderful blend of flavours and textures. The wine pairings were very well matched to the dishes. I also appreciated the nicely laundered large linen napkins that we had. The restaurant had a nice ambience, with interesting subtle music which we enjoyed. Our waitresses were very friendly and informative, carefully explaining the dishes and the wines to us upon arrival. The service was excellent. We had a very enjoyable experience, and after this first visit will go back again when next in Porthleven."
