"Arrived at 7.30pm place was full, but they still found a table for 2.Service was attentive but not oppressive, house Pinot Grigio excellent.Both starter,s were tasty and with a substantial, dressed side salad.We ordered the Calzone, and the Pizza dough was the lightest and tastiest we had ever had.Overall a great experience, great service and VERY reasonable, under £30 per head for 3 courses and a bottle of House wine.Highly recommended, we will return!"

This lovely Italian restaurant, located in the heart of Ripon, offers a separate vegan/vegetarian menu. The staff is friendly, the food is delicious, and the prices are affordable.

Upon entering, we were greeted by friendly staff who seated us at the best table in the restaurant. I couldn't fault the service or the food! It's a lovely place to dine no matter the occasion. We celebrated our 17th anniversary tonight and it was the ideal spot to enjoy a delicious meal with excellent service, including one of the best homemade pasta dishes I've ever had! A big thank you to all the staff at Hot Lava.

We visited at 6pm to get the special early bird price. Friendly, attentive staff, good range of menu items and food arrived really hot. A box was willingly offered to take our leftovers home for tomorrow and the quality and taste would have made it a sin to leave them! I should also mention that the fact we were on the early special price did not mean we were in any way rushed to eat up, the whole experience was relaxed and pleasant.
