"Unassuming from the quaint 1 lane road that one arrives from and likely the same from heaven, where one exits this gem of culinary delight, L’Ardoise is a kitchen that delivers. Don’t expect extra polished waiters or Paris pretense, but rather complex garden fresh food of extraordinary quality, beautifully presented with lovely quality from stem to stern. The crumbled crab with celery gazpacho of peas with mint crunchy with roasted seeds was divine and the sea bream and scallop ceviche with citrus zest avocado cream with lime cucumber sorbet was next level. The mains were equally prepared of great quality both the Sea Bass and the tournedos of beef tenderloin, pan-fried in vinegrower juice with violet mustard from Brive Potato scales in olive oil. Great stuff, world class , elegantly priced."
