"I went to the Boat House the other week and I ordered the kedgeree. It was £15.95 which is a lot for what you get. The rice was hard and the fish obviosuly wasn’t fresh. I am extremely disappointed with the food as it used to be such good quality. I think the prices are very expensive and not worth the food quality, making me not want to come back again. I also met the owner and when I spoke to her she seemed very unwelcoming and rude. I also heard another conversation between her and another member of staff slagging off one of the other customer or staff I cannot be certain as to which one it was. As a customer having only been a few a time, this really came as a suprise to me to see no professionalism whatsoever. I am very upset and again disappointed with my experience. All around it just wasn’t an enjoyable place to be. This is such a shame as to what use to be a nice place for food can be so toxic and shocking."

"This is the best Fish and Chips I have ever had. The staff was friendly and attentive, especially our server Georgia. I will definitely be coming back."

Stopped for a spur of the moment lunch, no booking made but the ladies were fabulous and found us a table straight away. The food was great, just a simple fish and chips, but freshly made and so tasty. We'll definitely be back, brilliant value for money and a great atmosphere too.

As we were both coming from different directions,we decided that a pit stop at the Littlehampton Marina was an easy fit . As per each of our visits (at least 3 this year), we were warmly greeted We chose to eat outside on the veranda opted for the Fish Chip deal, which represents VFM tasty with it.. Will we return?... most definitely Visualizza piatti

The food here is just incredible ... hats off to the chef, our lunch was superb. Probably the best burger I've ever had. Dad had the kedgeree and said it was cooked to perfection. Mum had the fishcakes and finished them ... she has a tiny appetite and never finishes a meal, so that tells me everything about how good they were too. An unexpected gem of a place .... highly recommended!

Came here for Friday night tapas for my sister's hen do and everyone said how great it was. The tapas were incredible we ordered most of the dishes off the menu and every single one was amazing. The staff were really friendly too. Location is beautiful and peaceful a little off the beaten track through the marina, but well worth the small detour out of town centre, and it's a very pretty walk to get to over the bridge. 100% recommend here for amazing food!

The Boathouse is a reliable dining spot that we have visited multiple times and have always enjoyed the food and service. Today, I had breakfast there with my son. I ordered soft scrambled eggs on sourdough toast, but was disappointed to find that the eggs were spread thinly on one slice without reaching the edge. My son's breakfast included a sausage, bacon, egg, toast, and a small pot of beans. We both had coffee and the total bill came to £24, which seemed a bit pricey for the portion sizes. Overall, we were not impressed and it may be some time before we return. Visualizza piatti

Went here for the first time on a Saturday Lunch time. The restaurant was almost full, but didn't have an over busy/hurried feel, which was lovely. One of us had fish and chips the fish was incredibly fresh, tasted like it had been caught that day. The rest of us had burgers and fries. The burgers were lovely, but the cheese was not melted onto the burger, which was a little disappointing. Chips were pre salted my son doesn't like salt on his chips, but eat them anyway. If they could ask you if you wanted your chips salted before they bring them out this would be better. A great find and we will come back for the tapas if we can find the menu anywhere.

I recently booked a table at the boathouse to treat a special friend to lunch. It had been years since I last visited, but I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. The restaurant offered an “older” person’s menu on Thursdays, featuring a selection of smaller dishes and drinks for £8.50. This was perfect for us, as we didn't want a large meal. The menu had a wide variety of options, and both my friend and I opted for the poached chicken salad. As it was a birthday celebration, we also indulged in dessert, which did not disappoint. The service was friendly, the food was delicious, and we had a great time. I have already decided to return next Thursday and bring some friends along. Overall...

"Went with my partner who’d been here a good few years before and had fond memories of it. It’s changed! I was told on the phone it was advisable to book, I have no idea why as it was practically empty. We were pretty much ignored when we got there by an older woman behind the bar but hoped it would get better. The elderly woman on another table went off to find her own pepper so I should’ve known then. We ordered drinks and one pint of flat coke later we asked to send it back, I was told it was indeed real Coke by the sullen looking waitress wearing cycling shorts. She then admitted it wasn’t real Coke and did he want a bottle of that. We were waiting so long for our food that dirty glasses were accumulating on the table and at one point we put them up on the window sill. Then noticed a dirty big stain on the table cloth and a candle holder with old wax in but no candle left there on the table. We asked how much longer the food was going to be as we both had work in the morning and it turned upafter 60 minutes and I wish we’d have left 20 minutes earlier when we’d thought of doing so. When it came it was a shock to see the £27 sirloin steak. Over priced and average at best. We had to ask the waitress ‘can you please take all these dirty glasses while we eat?’ The meal was already ruined and our evening out spoiled not by the food but by the shoddy way we were treated from start to finish. Even the lemon had to be sent back! No juice, fell away from the skin into mush so god knows how long that’d been there. Apparently she needed to tell the chef but brought back more of the same. We had to quibble the bill afterwards as the pint of flat cola syrup sent back was still on there. The manageress or whatever her job title is should be embarrassed at how customers are treated but unfortunately it was obvious she didn’t care and no apology given and she treated us exactly the same. If o was on my own I wouldn’t have paid so they’re lucky we did. It was one thing after another. We came home feeling like we’d been taken advantage of and I wish I’d said more at the time. I don’t usually leave bad reviews, I chalk it up to experience and move on so you can imagine how bad it was. If you like fawlty towers you may enjoy this farce but we’ll put this down to one place we’ll never go back to and will NEVER recommend. Joke of a place. What a shame."
