We stopped by to meet some friends and enjoyed a long walk through the nearby woods. After that, we returned to the pub and relaxed with drinks in the garden. The pub offers an excellent selection of beers and spirits, and the staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. There is a spacious dining area, and the food presentation is very appealing. Overall, it’s a lovely pub set in a beautiful location.

We enjoyed a cozy late lunch on Friday afternoon as a perfect kickoff to the weekend. The highlight was the incredible cheese bacon burger, served with homemade coleslaw and fries. For dessert, we indulged in sticky toffee pudding topped with toffee sauce and salted caramel ice cream. The wine list was quite impressive as well, so we chose the Malbec Punto Alto 2022 from Mendoza, Argentina to complement our burgers. The total cost per person was around £30–40.

We had an excellent experience with both the food and service. After a morning of exploring the area, we decided to stop in for an impromptu lunch. Knowing it was a Saturday, we called ahead to ensure we could get a table for two and our dog. The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating, and we were seated right away upon our arrival. Although the pub was quite bustling, the service was efficient, and our food didn't take long to arrive. We're definitely planning to visit again, possibly during the week when it's less crowded.
