"We booked for 9 people after doing a family walk around the dam for some lunch and were seated and served drinks straight away. However after this the meal took a downward turn. The wait time for just the starters was ridiculous and then again twice as long (over an hour) for the mains as well. We had ordered more drinks to break up the wait but even then we were wondering what was happening with our food. The food itself was nicely presented when it did finally arrive, but the wait time was unacceptable and all three members of our group who had the steak pies said they were very dry. We are not ones for complaining at all, but due to how long it was and the frankly inattentive staff throughout, when we did raise this to the waitress there was not a single apology and just a we 're really busy remark. The restaurant was busy but no where near enough for what we had experienced. After a bit of back and fourth with the waitress who was coming off more and more rude, there was still no apology but she did in the end take the pies off the bill, which was appreciated.....but a simple apology wouldn 't have even led to that."

Came for Sunday lunch for the first time in many years and had an excellent meal and first class service from our server Lara. Thank you. We will be back!

Seemed quiet on a Friday but this was our first visit. The two starters, Feta and Whitebait were very good and our Mains, Chicken Kebab and Sea Bass were excellent. Great service too. Would definitely visit again.

A family meal for fathers day. We were blown away with our 2 course Sunday lunch . We cannot praise the standard of food or service enough. So worth the money. The enviroment was lovely. The rest rooms spotless. We definately recommend and we will be revisiting.

The culinary offerings at this establishment were exceptionally satisfactory. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and chips. The chips were particularly remarkable, and the pizza was of a high standard. Additionally, there is a spacious beer garden on the premises. I wholeheartedly endorse this establishment to anyone seeking a culinary experience. Furthermore, there is a playground available for children, should you have any.

Visited as a booking for 6 and enjoyed possibly one of the best Sunday lunches we’ve had. Our only criticism was the wait of 1 hour 15 from order to serving, we got over that when the food arrived but were then told while still eating a dessert (a further 20 min wait) that we needed to hurry as the table was needed! We didn’t say anything to the waitress as it wasn’t her fault but spoilt an otherwise good afternoon out.

When you walk into a pub the cheapest lager is Stella, you know there's not much change from £10 for two pints... Nice place but it needs to make its mind up whether or not it's a pub or a restaurant. It's trying to be both failing. It's a pub in Wakefield. Not North Yorkshire. Over priced beer with no atmosphere. Massive underused beer garden. It has lots of potential, but nobody is going to spend a night or afternoon there because of pretentious prices.

"My wife and I had dinner at Coraima this evening whilst staying in Wakefield and what a delightful restaurant it is. The simple and authentically decor provides an instant relaxed atmosphere. We started with drinks. I had a Telba (a cold drink made with ground flax seeds) and my wife had a Beso (a cold, slightly sweet roasted barley drink). Both were delicious. For starters we shared a Beetroot Salad. It was very fresh with a delicately flavoured vinegar type dressing. As neither of us had had Abyssinian cuisine before, we decided to go for the 'Combination dish for two ' to give us an overall taster of their menu. A large round slate plate arrived with nine perfectly neat individual dishes sat on an injera (a slightly sour flat bread made from teff flour) with a further six neatly rolled injeras and four small chickpea flat breads. Every dish was very well spiced and made with care. Delightful and moreish. By the time we had eaten the whole plate we were nicely full but it did not feel heavy. We rounded the evening with hot drinks of a Shay (a North African spiced tea) and an Abyssinian coffee. The coffee (and popcorn) is not cheep at £9.95, however, this is by far the best coffee I 've ever tasted and a must for any coffee lover. We were informed that they roast the beans with spices in-house. Another sign of their dedication to present an authentic experience delivered with passion. Thoroughly recommended. Some additional information: 1. The restaurant is vegetarian and gluten free. 2. We had to pay a £20 no-show deposit when making the online table booking the day before, although, this has become, understandably, quite common for independent restaurants."
