"Booked this Restaurant as we were staying in the area and the menu looked good. When you go in, it is a well decorated cosy atmosphere with lots of wine bottles in lighted cabinets all around the restaurant. Judging by the multiple magnums and jeroboams,...they know their wines, hopefully the food was as good as the ambience. They proposed the aperitif and did not bring the menus until we had finished, which is a nice touch as I hate getting my first course when my aperitif is barely finished. The waiter proposed a course menu for Eur which turned out to be spectacular. The Montepulciano was fantastic and all in all, we had a great dinner. When I got the bill , everything was on there but they automatically added an service charge which I found curious as I have never had this in Munich and then they add below a dotted line for a tip. Now for a meal like this I would generally leave a good tip but the fact that they charged me almost Eur service charge was insulting, especially as all items on the bill were itemised in German but the service charge was in English, makes me think they just do this to tourists. I asked the waiter and he said, yes, normal so I paid and left with a bitter taste after an amazing experience. I was not going to have a fight and ruin an, up to then, perfect night with my partner"

I went with a group and the restaurant do not allow us to order from ala carte menu and insisted on set menu only. Food is average. Nice ambience

We booked for diner but when we arrived they had lost our booking, the waiter told us to wait outside in a cafe for minutes he did not apologize and was very rude, he even wanted to check my phone to make sure I...had called to book a table .... really bad manners... we won’t come back

Munich is home to my husband and me although we moved away more than years ago. So we have our favorites and feel the pull to visit them when we visit. We also have promised ourselves to enjoy what is new and undiscovered by...us and this year it took us to Vinaiolo. We now have a new favorite that will be on our list for the next years. A visit here must start with the incredible interior. Warm, cozy and inviting. A perfect mix of old and new. The course menu was perfect in every way. Quality, quantity and variety.
