"We had a reservation and was here with my wife for dinner on Nov Their food is no doubt good, there are varieties of fish dishes you can get. They serve some salad and very thin pizza bread with olive oil which is...in some way is included in the cost of the dishes. The restaurant was completely full and some people were coming in even after I liked the rabbithare meat which was there as a day special menu. My wife had ordered a lamb dish but it was hard and fibrous, she didn't like it. There were two gentlemen and two ladies both with shortheight, one was wearing specs and the other without looking after the guests. The lady with the specs was taking care of our table. We were entertained normally until our order was placed and after that the attitude of the lady with the specs was like 'ok, fine now complete eating, pay and leave whenever you like'. Generally in Germany, someone will come to your table, after being served and ask schmeckt gut?.....nothing of that sort here! We couldn't finish all of our food and had asked that lady to pack our food. She made a strange face, looking displeased, and just took away our dishes. She came back later with one packet containing all our leftover inside. Yes my wife and me had ordered different dishes and both of the leftover were put together and given to us.! What?? Later we paid our bill along with some tips. Again no thank you, no signs of gratitude. I am not sure if we will be coming back to this restaurant again"

You should do a reservation because everytime i went was full. It's really delicious, my Carpaccio was awesome! They also have lunch menus around €

Great experience in a well situated restaurant in Darmstadt’s suburb, opposite of the wartehalle. The food is good italian! available at lunch full set menues withsalad and coffees and nice children’s menu

We are big fans of Italian food and this is one of our Stamm places in the area. Honest Italian food, great service, good wines, buzzing atmosphere great place ! The green olives complimentary are the best in the world

As other reviewers have said it is best to have a reservation. We were only in the area for one night and chose this restaurant on back of hotel recommendation. How busy could it be on a Tuesday night in early December ?The answer is...packed and we were very lucky to get a table. Food was great, traditional Italian and the prices were very competitive. An excellent night

This is Italian food adapted to local tastes, in this case German Italian. My fish carpaccio had pesto and grilled cheese on the mussels. What?! The pappardelle porcini was watery and tasteless. One of the worst meals I have eaten, and not cheap if...this restaurant was in Italy, it would close within a week. I have visited many different regions of Italy and love Italian food. The environment in the restaurant is nice. If you come here, have meat. Some other reviewers went for fresh fish and had a good experience. The service is okay but nothing special we arrived at and had to rush to be out by with the restaurant about half full

I'm a big believer in the principle Follow the locals. They know where to eat. And this restaurant is one of the reasons why. I have learned to avoid the Bella Sardegna before PM, or even PM. I am usually visiting as a...single, but won't get a table anyways, because there are so many visitors. But waiting for the right time is just fine, if you know what to do. My all time fevourite meal was meat in Marsala sauce: Ever since, I have attempted to copy this recipe, without even getting close to that Marsala sauce. Also very recommendable: Spaghetti, which are being turned in a big chunk of parmesan cheese at the table. A festival to look at
