"Overall just a bit awkward. Taco starter lovely. The tattie scone nachos a tad overpriced for what it is but tasted alright. Service a tad slow to get going and not much of an ambiance. I feel the drinks and food here are a good few pounds more expensive than they should be and it’s probably down to location. Pork steak thing came in a bowl with a normal knife making it very difficult to get at and the fajitas were bits of bland, grilled chicken with no hint of seasoning or flavour. This dish too is a bit difficult to assemble given it was all served on one plate. The four slivers of pepper were far from enough. £17 for a cocktail and a 175ml glass of wine, whilst advertised and priced correctly on the menu, is kinda taking the mick in my opinion. We popped in on a different day for just a drink and £4.99 for a small can of cider also falls into that category. Doubt we’ll be rushing back when we inevitably return to Oban . They’ll likely not miss us given it’s usually busy, so they obviously are confident in what they offer and their prices."

Fantastic food!!, welcoming, professional, and friendly staff. We also had our dog with us, who was also made to feel very welcome with dog treats and a bowl of water. A must do food stop... Would highly recommend.

Lovely spot in Oban. I arrived just before sunset and got a glimpse of the beautiful sunset over this lovely town. I had their seafood chowder and it was delicious. The service was excellent and their sticky toffee pudding was wonderful.

Got the scottish nachos for starter which was tasty but was £8 and was very small for that price I feel. Was a tattie scone cut in to like 3 bits an half a black pudding if that. Got venison burger which tasted like a frozen burger and this was £14.50 which I expected much higher standards. Beer was nice though.

Absolutely fabulous, the best meal that I've had out in a long time, the seafood chowder to start was epic, could easily have that as a main course, I had the venison lasagne for main and it was delicious, the chips were the best I've ever had, perfectly crunchy on the outside and fluffy in the middle, none of this triple cooked rubbish, can not fault the food, service was great and the atmosphere was relaxed

I was so terribly disappointed. We were both looking forward to our Sunday lunch! It was absolutely appalling. My Chowder had no seasoning whatsoever, although my partner did enjoy his Scottish Nachos. Our Roast Beef was the worst I have ever had. Nothing at all was fresh or home made, every element on the plate was frozen and the frozen carrots were also rotten. The service was poor, the wine I ordered to have with my meal arrived as I was finishing, as did the horse radish. We even struggled to get the bill. We didn't bother making the staff aware as they were completely disinterested!

Decided to pop into Cuan Mor for a bite to eat when we decided to have a nice day out in Oban. Setting of the restaurant in on the Main Street over looking the bay and if you are lucky enough like we were to get a window seat you also have a wonderful outlook. The restaurant was steady and we were soon sat down and given the menus. The Better half ordered the soup which I think was broccoli and some sort of cheese I think and for a main she opted for the fake Chick*n burger. I decided on the Tattie scones with haggis and black pudding for a starter with Fish chips from the Lunch menu. Our drinks were brought to the table and somehow my fresh orange and lemonade had came as a soda and lime

I was soo looking forward to this. We have booked every year for last 6 years because tne food is absolutely amazing. We were disappointed that the menu had changed and was very limited to what it had been. Willing to go with the new menu. So ordered a prawn cocktail and salt and chilli king prawns.....I have actually made prawn cocktail better this was run of the milll. The king prawns were over cooked and tasted of deep fried fat. I opted for the fish and chips the fish was greasy and over cooked. My husband had the sole and prawns which was his starter and what I can only describe the sole as a thin bit of cardbard deep fried. In and out of the restaurant in 1 hour not the previous experi...

"Tl:DR Believe the hype. Worth travelling for. Excellent food and service in modern decor restaurant with cozy atmosphere. Great wine selection with decent recommendations for pairing. Be sure to book in advance. We came to Oban as a detour on our way back from holiday near Loch Tarbert, following a recommendation. My wife has a thing for seafood and planned it as a well deserved mini-treat for herself. Having been somewhat underwhelmed by the local sights on the particularly grey, miserable, rainy day we 'd arrived, our hopes weren 't particularly high in all honesty. We weren 't disappointed. EE-USK is the phonetic pronunciation of the Gaelic for Fish according to the website. It 's apt and the menu reflects accordingly. Reasonably priced particularly in the current climate. If you don 't like seafood or don 't eat fish, go to their sister restaurant Piazza next door. Although it seemed a bit pricey in comparison to other menu items, as this was a special treat, we went all out and ordered the Grand Platter for two , with a portion of chips naively added on (on the off chance our 9 yr old son was in a fussy mood . Now as I 've mentioned my wife is partial to sea food, and as a result we 've eaten alot of seafood platters, in various places around the world over the past 16ish years. This was up there with the best of them. A superb balance of flavours from the sea, with decent amount of different components (cooked uncooked and no obvious filler. I got about 1/2 way through before starting to notice what can only describe as akin to a religious experience, with emergence of a zen like calm and focus as I found myself savouring the various subtle nuances of different textures and flavours. It was also much bigger than anticipated. I had barely eaten anything all day and am known to have a bottomless pit for a stomach. Reader, I 'm ashamed to admit that we failed to finish it completely, which is unprecedented Believe the hype. It 's worth making the trip for. I strongly suspect we 'll be making a regular annual/biannual pilgrimage from London (at least until we can conquer the platter..."
