our second visit in le chat, we had a nice outside table for lunch. a new menu that consisted of an interesting selection that we enjoyed very much. very relaxed and picturesque.

This is becoming one of places of interest in the languedoc. We have been here for a meal on our last three September visits and it has been superb everytime. Good value teo or three course menu and excellent wine from Argeliers cave co-op

We have already come to this restaurant several times, always warmly welcomed by the owner whom we love because he is very friendly. The team is great, always with a smile. Meals are homemade with fresh, local products. The dishes are delicious. However, we are difficult, but we only have to try things because we know in advance that it will be successful. A great place on the bank of the Canal du Midi serving very well cooked and presented local food, The quality of produce is obviously very high, the same care goes into cooking and presentation also. The Waiters are able to explain the menus in...English and more than happy to make time to have a chat. My Wife and i spent a fortnight in South of France and ate out most days in many different places. Le Chat qui Peache was by far our favorite.

beautiful restaurant next to the canal du midi. the prices in this restaurant are however too expensive, not sure whether they address tourist on the canal. there are no shapes and starters starting at 12€ and mains are around 19€ if they have a...Meal with an aperitif, starter and pornstars, they should be around 68€ (for a few) without wee, dessert and coffee! there are more reasonable restaurants not far away. on the positive side, friendly service.

we have booked twice by phone alway answer machine, so informed them to book a table for 4. no answer but gave my phone nr twice, but thought no answer ok. we came in the time restaurant empty man looked at us, we told him made reservation. he did not book his book, I told him twice on the answer machine he said that is possible not always work? was not even apoligize he says no place tonight. might be, but I doubt! however nice near the canal, but we will never go there any more, even if it is the last option that unpolitic not interested can spend my money in anothe restaurant!

Lovely position on the canal. Small plate tapas style eating. Each dish is really special in its own right and mostly French. This is not Spanish tapas it is just small plate eating. Fabulous ravioli (yeah, I know but trust me and try it before you roll your eyes). Ris de veaux. Scallops in a fantastic sauce. A duck dish with spicy spring rolls and slices of breast cooked pink. Lovely friendly staff. A HUGE 70s biased LP record collection which they play on a period turntable. Interesting art. Lovely place. Parking: Isolated on the side of the canal and so unlimited parking and there is no other reason to be parking there.

We have been coming here a number of times now and it is always delicious. The menu is varied and there are good choices to be had, changing with the seasons. The food is freshly prepared and they try to source the ingredients locally. We...had an assiete de charcuterie and the tataki do thon as starters, followed by a very nicely cooked piece du boucher'. Portions are generous, so we only managed to share a desert (ice cream) this time. The service is very attentive and the dishes on offer are explained very nicely. There is no rush and the old record player in the background provides a perfect ambience to the overall experience. A bientôt!
