"Although located off a main road, the restaurant is well set back and even when dining outside you don’t hear any traffic. It’s also perfect for taking kids (as there are loads of safe places to run around, climb, games, etc. while adults relax). Tables are set out under illuminated trees with a lovely rustic feel. Service is excellent and the food (which traditionally takes a little while to arrive), is well worth the wait. There is a fantastic pizza oven on site, an outside bar area and plenty of outside seating. All our dishes were large, full of fresh ingredients and the mezze dish was perfect. The restaurant is perfect for large or intimate occasions. Definitely recommended!"

"Little story but big table! For a long time, we hadn't eaten too. Sometimes there is quality without quantity or inverse, but there are both! a rognon of old mustard sauce with fresh pasta to fall, or the paleron anginus. a discovery! fresh and minute cooked products. the card made him want to taste everything; a friendly and efficient service and well-choiced wines. all at very correct prices. and you feel a good atmosphere in the team. All of us, we'll come back for sure!"

"Only three entries offered. One was tripe, the second was a fish dish, and the third was a pork casserole that was only available for two. So, unless you enjoy cow stomach a couple has to settle on the double fish entree or the pork for two. We opted for the latter. Mediocre at best. The carrots and parsnips were not washed thoroughly so one got gritty sand in every chew. The entire dish was over salted and the pork cheeks were tasteless. On top of that, when we gave our waitress our credit card, she ran it and declared that the card was no good . It turned out that their Internet connection was down--no apology for announcing to the room that our card was bad--and we were told to wait. Twenty minutes later we paid in cash and left. Simply a bad experience and a waste of 60 Euros."

"We spent an excellent time in this beautiful house, whose architecture and outdoor spaces are from the finish an invitation to enchantment. the reception is exceptional and the service of great professionalism. The generosity of the chef's kitchen is reflected from the aperitif magnified by the truffle and exceptional products. We enjoyed cooking the mackerel made at our table in bee wax and cuts made at the minute in front of our eyes. The whole meal is very high stolen for a remarkable value/price ratio given the place and the quality of the dishes that have been served us. A nice address."

"David's chef Emmanuel Champion left in the New Year and the restaurant was closed for redecoration. This is the first time we have been there since then and I am very sorry to say that, although the patron and one waiter are the same everything else has changed.Gone is the stylish but comfortable decor, the fresh table linen and in their place are wood-effect topped tables, heavy and rather low chairs but worst of all to traditionalist me, fake leather table mats.The two set price menus have the same offering of two choices for each of three courses but with a couple of exceptions these were neither seasonal nor especially local. The wine list is pretty much as it was.This new chef has a great deal to learn. His cooking is somewhat lacking in finesse.The first course of foie gras was not melt in mouth and was strangely topped with a chocolate flavoured jelly which I thought didn't work. The toasted brioche served with it was welcome as was the very small serving of chutney.The main dish was just clumsy. It sounded hopeful: John Dory with a boullabaisse sauce. The sauce was a lacking-in-flavour foam and the overcooked fish was sitting on two huge pieces of potato, also overcooked and a lump of carrot. I couldn't finish mine.Both desserts contained chocolate and I chose the bananas flambeed in rum on a biscuit. The bananas were cold cut into identical cylinders with a mousse in the middle, but the rum had escaped. I asked for the accompanying chocolate ice cream not to be served.I feel really sorry having to write this review because we have known and loved David since the early 1980s through the then third generation owner and chef, the present owner and his first chef to last night.I know, things, especially in food have to move on but............"
