"I was accommodated nicely, and the restaurant lead ensured I got a seat The food is absolutely great apart from the Canole, which tasted beautiful BUT a fork and spoon wouldn't break, i ate it with my fingers, when nobody was looking and it was shame as the presentation was lovely. . I was told the desserts weren't in the menu, but that was wrong, and my memory is fine. The scallops are divine, and the spaghetti is beaut. Attitude problems with some staff more the women, the guys are friendly enough, is it a Sicilian thing? If you can get your head around that, then fine. I felt I was treated like I was going to rob the place. This reflects other people's comments looking at them. I come as I am, from work NHS surgical, I like to eat out once a week. You serve me when I pay, not vice versa. You tell a lot of people how things are. House wines are great. Lighten up. Take it on board. Be nice., work on it, I hope to return."

This restaurant consistently delivers a high standard. The service is excellent for a sit-down dinner, with prices ranging from £30-40 per person. The food is top-notch and the atmosphere is welcoming. I highly recommend trying the Bruschetta. Visualizza piatti

Good food, good wine, good service- what more can I say! The atmosphere was cozy and relaxing, the waiters were charming and funny. I've had a lot of Italian food in my life but the food here was bellissimo. This restaurant is an absolute Italian delight!

The stuffed chicken is a delicious and filling dish served with steaming hot vegetables. The service was excellent and we enjoyed a lovely dinner. The price per person is between £20-30. Overall, we rated the food a 5, service a 5, and the atmosphere a 4.

Nothing but excellent from the start to finish. The staff couldn't have been any better, attentive, kind helpful and with a sense of humour as well. The food was superb. Good portions and tasty, so very tasty. Best restaurant in Plymouth by far in my opinion. Fairly large Car park situated behind the restaurant, leaves 3 minute walk. About 20 min walk from the Barbican.

If you’re looking for authentic Italian cuisine in Plymouth, Positano has got you covered! Positano has been on my ‘must visit’ list for a long time now, so I was thrilled when we managed to get booked in to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday yesterday evening! I believe the restaurant is Italian family-owned, and this really shines through. The food was both incredibly delicious and truly authentic. The staff were amazing (and absolutely hilarious), and really went to the effort to make you feel welcome and looked after. Their homemade bruschetta is on the house and served as an appetiser whilst waiting for your starter or main course. They don’t shy away from the garlic, so I do recommend b...

"Visited on a busy Saturday evening. General impression is the restaurant is clean, well presented and evidently well liked for how many people were in the small dining area. A little noisy, particularly in the confined space beside the kitchen, when seated close beside a louder table. As the evening progressed, we felt quite cold not sure if the heating was on? Service from the staff was outstanding, very friendly, polite, attentive, but food was slow to arrive. We were a little perplexed by having the appetiser on the table before our starter/main order had been taken, so having to work around still having the menus. The smoked butter was very strong my partner liked it, it was too much for me. Both fish starters were good, with the mackerel our favourite. The main courses were OK. The lamb was fine, but served with lamb fat root veg meant the whole plate was very similar flavoured, and the green beans/salsa verde felt like an afterthought. The skate wing was nice, and the crispy capers were a new and pleasant experience. The desserts rescued the food for me the creme brulée was outstanding, and the chocolate special was very good, with exception of a slightly chewy meringue. I feel I'm being picky with my criticisms, but fig tree is definitely priced higher than other more standard fare restaurants in Plymouth where we have also had very good food."
