"We thought our sat navigation had sent us wrong (again) and nearly turned around and left but we spotted the Royal Oak around the corner, facing the sea. Parking can be difficult as it doesn't have a car park and there's double yellows part way up the street. Inside its warm, cosy and welcoming. We were shown to a table and our little border terrier was fussed. We ordered starters of soup of the day (spiced pumpkin) and I chose the bao bun. Both were freshly made very tasty. Main courses were a Cumberland ring on the specials menu and a lanb shank. Both were lovely, good portion size, freshly made and well presented. Staff were very friendly and efficient. We're really pleased we found the Royal Oak and will definately return."

What a great pub! Food was amazing, lively but not super loud atmosphere, friendly staff and a nice setting. Parking isn't easy but you can park by the other pub and walk down (about 2 minutes). You can't always get down there because of the tide so the other way is a fair bit longer but not undoable. Parking: At the Ship Inn off of the road just before or after the bridge to/from Hayling Island Price per person: £10–20

Last week charged £7.48 for a white coffee and Pint of Ale. Today 7 Jan 2024 charged £8.23 for the same with the following problem. My pint was sent back asap after 1 snip as you could see it was off. The barman poured me another Ale and said 'I will not charge you for this one '. How kind. 20 seconds later the barrel was changed as they had served me the dregs. My wife 's plain white coffee was £3.05 which included 75 pence for a very small jug 50/60 ml) of milk. This equates to approx £15.00 for a litre of milk £1.10 at shops) Green King you must be kidding.
