Popped in for lunch whilst passing through. Friendly service. Lovely food. Reasonably priced. Unfortunately no photos of the food as we were too busy enjoying it.

amazing and one has to eat place....the bark steak on the hot stone is easy wow...frindly personal and good ambiente. much recommended. In the face of a matter, it would love to eat there again.

Absolutely fantastic! The food was delicious with generous portions—we even went back twice. Moira was an amazing host, and she recommended pairing the chicken burger with watermelon, which was a delightful surprise!

What a great discovery! We had a reservation at the Macdonald Forrest Hotel, but the menu wasn't to our liking, so we were thrilled to find this gem instead! The staff was lovely, and the prices were reasonable. We would definitely return when visiting again!

my man and I had a wonderful two nights eating here, only wishing we had more, but unfortunately had to return home. moira and the staff were nice and friendly and the eating delicious. extremely clean and welcoming. my man had wished the cheesecake at the last night only that I did, how was absolutely delicious after my man too good to share! the lighting itself is quite inventive.

My partner and I had a delightful two-night stay dining here, and we only wish we could have stayed longer, but unfortunately had to return home. Moira and the staff were warm and friendly, and the food was delicious. The restaurant was very clean and welcoming. On our last night, my partner wished he had ordered the cheesecake that I enjoyed, as it was absolutely delicious—so good that he didn't want to share! The lighting in the restaurant was also quite inventive.

I visited this restaurant for lunch with my family yesterday, and it was absolutely perfect! I ordered the salt and chili chicken with curry sauce and a bowl of chips, and it was amazing. My husband had the steak pie, which was delicious. Other family members tried the garlic mushrooms on garlic bread; they would have preferred it to be creamier, but that’s just a personal preference. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Overall, it was a wonderful lunch experience, and we will definitely be coming back! Food: 5

We had a meal here in mid-October after spending the whole day driving to Scotland. By the time we arrived, we were eager for something to eat and drink. Our accommodation recommended the Faerie, which was conveniently just up the road. Fortunately, when we got there, they had one table available. We decided to share a starter and ordered their burgers for the main course. The food was absolutely delicious, with generous portion sizes that left us unable to finish everything. Everything was perfectly cooked. My partner, who isn’t usually one to rave about meals out, has been talking about how it was one of the best burgers he's had in years, even weeks later! It’s a shame we live so far away...

we decided to eat here after recommendations of the staff in our hotel and were not disappointed! after reading some of the rather negative reviews, we found that the pub was under new property. our group of 5 had all the black rocks steaks that were great. it was a great idea for our group to sit and chat while we ate. the rest of the meal was good and the drinks were more normal price, about £3 for a pint. after dinner we decided to play a few darts and pool with some of the masters and the owner dave. we had a great time and it was one of our best nights in butfoyle.
