"Popped in to piggy back on a friends Sunday lunch... their mains looked delicious and me and the kids had puds and a cheese platter. Honest to god the desserts were delicious and the cheese board was the biggest I'd ever seen with a cheeky gin aperitif to boot! Thank god this pub is back in safe hands (as of October 2017) ...great food friendly staff who really want you to enjoy your experience. Come and support them, we don't want to lose another great pub!"

traditional English pub can not be much better than that! amazing eating from burgers to muscheln. pâtés and plow plates. beautiful and cozy with fires in winter months, highly recommended

after a break of 6 months we returned yesterday after we had heard that the previous chef is back in the kitchen. we had eaten the most delicious, which has surpassed our expectations with the most friendly staff. the booking of a table is strongly recommended to guarantee its seat. the first time we had the Valentine's Day menu and it was fantastic. the personal is great and contributes a lot to a great culinary experience, service is brilliant. Today we had the amazing lamb roast dinner and shared the crab starter. no mistakes just good eating, wein and service. we are coming back

If you like your food then wow you get a lot hear. If your hungry but not that hungry, then ask for the childrens portion, leave room for the dessert though. Sit outside and enjoy the peace and quiet with a glass of local ale or a pot of tea to round off that filling lunch or dinner, a perfect setting, that on the right day you won't want to leave, enjoy.
