Red Onion - Piatti

We were sat near the door meaning those who’d booked a table and were waiting to be seated we’re basically stood next to us. That’s the only negative. More importantly, the food was amazing and the service was excellent!

Throughly enjoyed our visit to the Red Onion. The food and drinks were very good. Loved the frozen raspberry and white chocolate dessert. Kerr our server was very attentive and very tolerant of somewhat confused Americans.

I am very grateful that I booked this restaurant for our dinner. The food here is delicious, I really want to try more items from the menu, so we have already made another reservation. I highly recommend this place. My duck was amazing, big thank you for the chefs. Visualizza piatti

Once again, blown away with the quality of food in here. Everything was just perfect, great atmosphere, great service, such a lovely afternoon. Salt and chillin buffalow cauliflower with hot and sour salad was amazing followed by the beyond burger and vanilla and banana cheesecake. The best yet thank you so much.

Red Onion has to be up there as one of the best restaurants in Glasgow. The set price pre-theatre menu is fabulous quality , a great option in the cost of living crisis. The waiting staff are attentive, yet not overbearing and Mr Q often makes a point of speaking to diners, such a lovely touch. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately we were let down by the slow service which I think was brought on by a coach load arriving just after we got our drinks. They seemed to get priority service and we were unable to order dessert or coffee due to not being seen to after our main course and had a show to get to. Booked into Red Onion for a Birthday dinner for two as it was just a short walk from our Hotel As we were early dinners due to later appointments we were the first and had full attention of the lovely staff Shown to a window table and ordered drinks whilst we perused the menu We ordered starters and mains which were both hot and fresh, perfectly cooked and tasted delightful We were so full we couldn't manage desserts

The quality and presentation of tje food was okay, however, we asked our Scottish beef steaks to be medium and medium-rare, respectively; but they both came well-done. Otherwise, the service, although really very nice people, was a bit unattentive. The ambiente of the restaurant is basic but absolutely acceptable. Good (and not just a few) wines available by the glass. Overall good value for the money. Pleasant and in particular not too noisy atmosphere.

Red Onion is a wonderful restaurant. A great concept, it caters to a wide array of dietary requirements offering separate vegan, gluten free and dairy free menus. You are not limited to a few options either as each of these menus are full of delicious options. The service is great and personable, the owner checked in with us to ensure that we were enjoying our food and visit. Similarly the ambience is lovely and relaxed and the setup is intimate allowing for a great evening of good food and conversation. Visualizza piatti
