The atmosphere was pleasant, although I'm not sure if that was just due to the restaurant being newly reopened. Unfortunately, the service could definitely be improved. While the staff was friendly, they served our coffee and cutlery and then left them in a corner of our table (we had a table for six), which made it awkward for us to reach. We also waited a long time to receive the dessert menu after asking for it, and then it took quite a while for someone to come back and take our dessert orders. Overall, the food was great, but the service left something to be desired."

we went here on a Thursday night good five pm because they stopped eating for a part of the afternoon I had lammschaft with ash and veg joan had cod gordon’s with muddy heaps and chips

Excellent menu, very full menu too, lots of choices, service and staff very prompt, friendly atmosphere, could not fault it, will definitely be visiting again thanks to all the staff, for an excellent meal today.

My wife had a meal at the Travellers Rest for our wedding anniversary, the service and the meal were superb, we really enjoyed the braised steak? The service was smashing. A really enjoyable evening.Alan and Carol !

Very enjoyable night on our first visit to the ' Trav 's '. The staff were very friendly, helpful and polite. The food was very nice and we didn 't really wait that long, considering how busy it was. Our first visit definitely won 't be our last. Will recommend

I had my first visit for lunch at this restaurant. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant. I ordered the steak baguette, and the meat was delicious while the bread was soft. The chips and gravy were also tasty. I noticed that other dishes, like the fish cake and Jäger schnitzel, looked beautiful and were highly recommended by other patrons. While some prices may be on the higher side, the food was freshly prepared and very satisfying.

After a couple of years away due to COVID, I finally returned to the restaurant and was excited to enjoy a meal with my family. We booked a table for six, and it was wonderful to see the restaurant thriving and busy during these unusual times. The staff were very kind and accommodating. We had a lovely three-course meal, although I forgot to take photos of all the dishes—only managed to snap a picture of one starter.
