"Attractive Split level, and a bit digestive, restaurant towards the north end of the marina, with simple parking directly outside. When we visited, there were many hunters in front of the house, although the back was much less busy. Young employees were pretty busy and quite on the ball. Menu was robustly functional and we were aware of before starting some omissions. Like most places here, fish is the main attraction, but there were also plenty of meat alternatives. We started a great option with a huge fresh salad with goat cheese in Filo bakery packages. The main course of grilled calf cuts was less impressive; each wafer thin and covered in a Blande creamy mushroom sauce and accompanied by a mountain of boring catering pack frits. Plenty of space for dessert, so that we actually splash the local speciality, pistazzu; basically, two rather slim slices of bread-based flan in honey and caramel. The staff were quite jovial at the end of the meal after they were quite concentrated earlier. Probably helps when you can speak a little French in the evening, although a girl has spoken particularly well English. Rather more inviting and more coherent than the competitor (U Columbu)."

We went here twice when the menu of the day was inexpensive but very delicious food. It cost both times. Beautiful location and atmosphere.

Excellent address The Corsican plate is extra, I recommend it to you and the welcome of Léa and her team at the top. We had a very good evening.

Bit run down but not bad food. Pizza choice is good though. Not enough regional dishes. Great for tourist for a quick meal. Not spectacular but right in port. Visualizza piatti

Good address on all levels. The St Pierre dish with its grilled vegetables was very good, and well presented. The homemade chocolate mousse was allowed to eat. The service provided by two nice young people.

We stayed in Macinaggio for a week and we visited some restaurants in this beautiful village. Maybe we were unlucky this evening but it wasn't good. Compared to the other restaurants - it's an uninspring menu and for the money we spend you can have a 3 course plat du jour elsewhere.

The place looks nice, the lady who served us (the take out) pizzas was friendly but the pizza was very disappointing. I had the 'Corsica'. The sausage and bacon were barely there, all I could see was a swampy mess of cheese and oil. Worst thing was the pizza dough was not baked! Only the crust was finished and crispy. All in all not what you'd expect of a restaurant that specializes in pizzas... Visualizza piatti

About par with most bistros in this area. Eating is generally expensive in this part of Corsica so not expect too much for your money. My sea roast was beautiful because it was cooked on a carbon grill, my partner red mullet was not... so beautiful, skin a bit wet and meat jelly. Came with baby boiled potatoes. My son had shrimps in a curry sauce with pasta, which is an acquired taste. I also had the cold meat starter and cheese plate. We had 2 rounds of drinks and cost 85 euros. We'll cook for us tonight. The staff was very friendly and nice.

We were staying in MACINAGGIO, Corsica for a week and tried out quite a few of the restaurants. However, we thoroughly enjoyed the food at this place and had dinner here three times. The Prix Fixe Menu was reasonably priced and the food very good. Some of us had the pizzas which were also excellent. There were 7 of us in total so we tried quite a few of their dishes.I tried the fish, the Berger Salad and the Crème Caramel and all three were excellent. The staff were very friendly and pleasant and ready to please.Do make sure you use Mosquito repellant if you get bitten easily like me as in summer there are quite a few mosquitos around because of the beautiful greenery around the restaurant.

"This is one of the most expensive “restaurants” in Macianaggio and the standard is a little higher than others in the area. The menu is quite limited and the dishes are just plain simple. Charcoal grilled prawns, lobster, steak or fish is all you get really. Starters are 11 14 euros and are in my opinion better than the mains. My partner had moules marinara which was nice and cost 11 euro, I had moules farcie also 11 euro and my son had the fish soup which was OK and again about 11 euro. For mains we had Swordfish steak 24 euro, Prawns with parsley 26 euro and prawns with pasta in tomato sauce 22euro. They were nice enough but nothing to write home about. When I finished my main I stepped out back to where the charcoal grill was to have a cigarette and attempted a polite conversation with a local man who spoke no English. It was at this point that the cook started talking to the local and upon hearing me speaking English must’ve assumed I could not understand French. He was wrong although not great I do have a basic understanding and was surprised to hear him refer to me as “napoleon”. I asked him if he had just called me napoleon because of my height and he said yes. The local man then told the cook (I say cook because he just operates a grill) that I was English and the cook then said that there were only pubs in England not restaurants. I corrected him as there are many fine restaurants in England serving food from around the world including French and Italian. He said there were many Italian restaurants but that French were the best. I agreed and then I pointed out that the French restaurants in England were far superior to his grill and left. This was a shame as the rest of the staff were really friendly and helpful. This restaurant is good for the area but in reality it is at best just OK. It is lucky in that the seafood it’s ingredients are fresh and local but they don’t really do any complex cooking. The best meals to be had in this part of Corsica are the ones you cook yourself with food from the local shops sadly."
