"This was an annual visit for Sunday lunch, and it is disappointing that previous standards appear to have declined: the roast dinner looked attractive but the beef was chewy rather than tender, the potatoes rather overcooked, and the gravy poorly prepared. It was not clear whether food is ordered at the bar or table, and when finished, our plates were not cleared, and no desserts were offered.: very different from our previous experience, and we noticed that there was much less of a busy atmosphere than in our previous experience perhaps others have noticed the change too?"

I had a great experience at this friendly and welcoming pub. We only stopped in for a drink to refresh ourselves after walking Colmers Hill. It was lovely to sit outside and people-watch. I will definitely be returning soon, this time to try the food.
