Mondello's - Piatti

Food was delicious and well presented and staff were friendly, but You could do with chefs wearing hats and waitresses wearing aprons. No Italian music even though it’s an Italian restaurant ?

yesterday evening visited with family, pizza paganini with chilis order, absolutely fantastic. straight ahead. daughter had spag bol from the children's menu, peronni caught to die for 10/10. well done.

now, this place is immeasurable. a special evening pampered .waited and waited....see them for always being served our appetizers, and another half an hour for our net that should not wait. bad quality, commercial art eating, just eating, nothing special at all....will not...not...like terrible cuisine, it was a really top restaurant with. the personal has apologised and it wasn't her fault....Küche must have her act together and done it. Our second time at Mondello's and just as good as last time. The chaps had the lamb and steak on a stone (which has been fabulous both times), whilst the ladies had the chicken and risotto. We made the mistake of having brushetta as well...as starters, so we were too full to attempt a dessert, but will remember next time to skip those. The restaurant was packed (we went for 6:30 on a Saturday), and although it was cold outside, we needed the door open a little to let in some air. We will be back.

I live locally to mondello s and given custom to the restaurant regularly for the last 3years since moving to the area .so so disappointed tonight the back door was left open by the takeaway driver had to ask for it to be shut so...quite draugty ordered the special trio of Fish which with Mediterranean veg .the fish over cooked and the med veg was cauliflower and carrots ??? So when I was asked what the problem was I got the reply looks like you’ve eaten most of it ...well that’s our custom lost I will not recommend for sure So rude !!

Busy busy so you definitely need to book . But definitely worth it . Would of given it five stars but for the chaos that happens around you . Firstly the food , outstanding and very reasonably priced too . In fact , yea have...to say ,best value Italian restaurant I’ve ever been too . Just wear as little as possible,, it gets so hot in there . You really do feel like your sat in the kitchen. No ventilation either , so gets real smokey and at times was a little unbearable. Such a relief when they opened the back door to let some fresh air in . by sorting from an initial mix with the booking, (her mistake not our) we enjoyed a very pleasant meal. there were 9 of us, so no small party. the pizzas went very well, the children enjoyed their eating, the pasta dishes were. chic, the garlic bread beginnings lasted long to come, but was the best kauty garlic bread of all time! only 4 of us had plucked, but my sticky crumb was cold. in the did it was very easy frozen in the middle. I ate it, but mentioned it when she asked if it was in order. they apologised and knocked it off from the bill that was fair. I should have told them. the restaurant itself is bland inside, pale walls bright lighter, so there is more a cafe experience instead of evening meals. the personal was great. political, friendly and attentive. the meal was generally average. Cream mushroom starter was delicious, but I felt I would break my teeth on toast. a fillet steak was well requested, but medium came too well, a few pink in the middle, which my friend out. No one loves to return food, so not. the raviolia lobster, had minimal filling and was what I thought was a small part and was in a Bland sauce. the cannelloni my partner was delicious, but again very small. we had a mojito that was delicious and very well presented. the house wine was beaut...

It’s a very small restaurant so getting a table can be tricky and the main room is crammed with as many covers as they can squeeze in. With this in mind we booked a table for 5 people for 7.30. Upon arrival the waitress showed...us to a table and we sat down. Another lady, I assume the manager, told us that this wasn’t our table and said we would have to move. We told her we had booked for 7.30 and she told us she was expecting us at 6!? This is clearly an issue with internal communication as this was definitely not the time we had booked, we weren’t even available at 6! Very poor customer service skills.
