"This restaurant is fantastic. The service is top-notch and the food is incredible, truly perfect in every aspect. While the vegetarian options are not extensive, they are reasonable if you inquire. I had lunch here and would give the food, service, and atmosphere all a perfect rating of 5. I highly recommend trying the Calzone and Garlic Bread. For vegetarians, I somewhat recommend this restaurant."

Unfortunately, this restaurant was not to our liking. We stopped in after noticing it several times in hopes of a relaxing drink, but it was anything but relaxing. We will not be returning anytime soon.

I had a fantastic time with my friends at this restaurant. The décor is stylish and the atmosphere is great. The service was top-notch. I especially enjoyed their delicious pizza, which had a nice texture. The prices were also very reasonable.

The staff were super friendly and welcoming but unfortunately I didn’t enjoy the food. My order was completely wrong but I ate it anyway as I didn’t want to cause a fuss. Went here on Christmas Day with my mum and son and could’ve not fault anything. The service was brilliant and all our food was excellent. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone for Christmas dinner and looking to book here again next year! "I have visited Hickory’s countless times and have always enjoyed the food, the atmosphere, and the staff. However, after my recent experience at their Super Bowl event, I felt it was important to share this review. My friend and I had a fantastic evening, and midway through, we started to feel a bit hungry, so we decided to order some fried chicken from the Super Bowl menu. Unfortunately, I had to wait 40 minutes just to inquire about the food, as it hadn’t arrived yet. Once it finally came, though, it was delicious, as always. The staff were incredibly apologetic and went above and beyond to rectify their mistake. I don’t hold any resentment about the wait—given how busy it was, I didn’t expect super-fast service. Additionally, the compensation for the wait exceeded my expectations and only reinforced my belief that the restaurant and its employees are some of the most dedicated, welcoming, and attentive I’ve ever encountered. I would be very proud to have them as my colleagues."

"We were staying in hotel opposite. Had come up from Brighton to do some sightseeing in Chester wanted to go to Kenilworth castle too. We had a few drinks a meal. Harvey, behind the bar was a great barman very friendly. Remembered what we were drinking, even though pub was busy. We were then seated served by Chris, who after chatting, we found had spent a couple of years in Brighton. He was amazingly friendly efficient. Really enjoyed chatting with him. I had the steak, cooked perfectly my partner had the Gammon, which I tried it was delicious too. We shared a dessert of crumble custard. Good value.. This pub has loads of history, character is very traditional. Very clean. There is a lovely garden out back, which will be ideal for summer months. We wish Chris well in his new career, starting shortly. Thank you for a lovely evening."

"My wife and I are regular diners here and often joined by family members. The food is excellent, the service commendable with welcoming and friendly waiters. Unfortunately, our last visit was disappointing. I ordered a large glass of Merlot which is my favourite tipple. However, on this occasion there was clearly an issue with the wine which had a slight brownish tint and tasted spoiled. I asked for it to be replaced. If this was to be conducted in a professional manner the waiter would have brought an unopened bottle and a clean glass to the table. Instead, the waiter returned with a full glass. I tasted the wine and was convinced it was either the same glass of wine or was replaced by wine from the same bottle. Nevertheless, I decided not to pursue the issue. When the bill arrived it appeared higher than was usual. Once again I decided not to query it but thought I would check the bill at home. This was thwarted by the waiter picking the bill up and slipping it into his pocket as we said our farewells. I was later able to do the calculations and confirm we were overcharged by the equivalent of an additional large glass of wine! And we had left a generous tip! We won’t be hurrying back."

"from the moment we came in, the service was impeccable. although a busy night nye, we never felt hurried and had a lot of time to enjoy the amazing eating. the menu was vey enticing and it was difficult to make decisions given the great selection. the wobbles as my entree was rich and tasteful for the net, I have the duck with cider jus. the duck was perfectly pink and just so delicious. I really enjoy being in the back part of the restaurant near the open kitchen. to see the chefs, create the courts in military precision that was added to the ambiente a great night."

"for the first time on Saturday. we brought our little girl. the menu had many choices. I had steak my other half had pork and my daughter had fish and chips. very generous portions and eating was absolutely delicious. to pudding the cream brûlée was perfect. we found the chocolate orange pudding very hard, but overall we were thrilled by everything. the personal was really beautiful and very accentuated. the atmosphere was great, we ate early and at the time when we left the restaurant was very full, but the staff was very well managed. we were so impressed and will return definitiw."
