Great atmosphere and food for dinner on a Saturday before setting out to party. Staff are very friendly and serve you with a smile. Look forward to visiting again.

Recently staying in Saarbrücken for work and enjoyed several meals at gasthaus Zahm, local specialities like tafelspitzen, baked potatoes with sour cream and chives and especially delicious super dry aged entrecôte with sauteed mushrooms, onions and chili peppers.

Leider hat mit dem Besitzerwechsel auch die Qualität gewechselt. Kein Vergleich mehr zum wirklich ausgezeichneten Essen vor einigen Monaten. Die Hoorische schmeckten wie gerollter Kartoffelbrei vom Vortag und die Panade des Schnitzels war weder locker, noch knusprige und fad abgeschmeckt. Der Beilagensalat war in Ordnung. We were staying at the Motel One and this restaurant is right around the corner from the hotel. We wandered in one evening on our way back from the Christmas Market and had a really nice meal. A small restaurant and nothing fancy but good...food and a very helpful staff. Our German is very limited is so was their English but they were very willing to help. Had the filled dumplings and they were very good. Would definitely recommend this place.

I´ve been to restaurant Zahm with colleagues. We chose our menus beforehand, so I don't know the other food they have on the menu. Like probably most other restaurants in Saarbrücken, the choices we were offered were a little on the meaty side. I requested...something vegetarian and was not disappointed, I had a tasty salad with goat cheese and kind of a vegetable soufflé. Servings were plentiful. Our waitress was attentive and nice but got a little nervous past 11 pm. The toilet is quite small and needs some repairs. The wine selection is quite good.

Ne vous fiez pas à l'extérieur, ça paye pas de mine et l'intérieur a l'air très sombre.Il faut dire que restaurant est très tamisé, la déco est simple et épurée, le serveur était courtois et l'ambiance plutôt chaleureuse bien qu'il y avait pas beaucoup de monde ce soir là.Nous avions pris des hamburgers (poulet et pulled pork) aux goûts originaux et très bons avec comme accompagnement des frites. Nous avions pas pu tester les pommes de terres douces, ils en avaient pas ce soir là, le serveur est venu nous l'annoncer directement avec de commander, c'est une bonne attention.Le hamburger est cependant difficile à couper tant il est garni (des petits pics insérés dedans seraient pratiques) et le...

C'est un peu par hasard que ce soir là nous avons franchi la porte de ce restaurant. Derrière cette devanture discrète comparée aux autres enseignes tape à l'oeil dans la même rue, se cache en réalité une très bonne petite table. L'ambiance y est chaleureuse et la décoration allie modernisme et sobriété. Une ambiance intimiste et tamisée inonde ce restaurant.Le serveur est sympathique, poli et aux petits soins avec nous, rien à redire.La carte est à l'image du lieu, sobre mais efficace. I'm not keen on negative reviews, as everyone is entitled to an off night, bit the experience was pretty shoddy. Was a busy Saturday night in Saarbrucken, World Cup quarter finals playing everywhere... and we were a party of 7 that hadn't booked anywhere on...an overnight stop over. We checked with the restaurant if they could take us, they said yes and led us to the table. Staff were pleasant and helpful. This was about 8pm. We ordered drinks, food, one of which was a mixed platter of cold meats as an entrée. The mixed platter arrived an hour later. An hour. For sliced cold meat.
