"General: Once again in Saarlouis and a small premiere was planned, namely Nicky's Romanian restaurant. located north of the Saar, in the working town of Roden. As a man of the people I don't know fear of touch, so I went to Nicky on Thursday evening at the beginning of February. But I have no luck with Balkan restaurants beyond the marriage jugoes. When I stood in Dresden in front of the closed gates of Hungary, Nicky's restaurant was now dark in Saarlouis and the menu in the curtain box was removed. In such cases I usually have a plan B and that was called Kalimera, former Athens, in the same street Rodens. Unlike the roaring Delphi in the historical part of Saarlouis, the Calimera became clear. The Calimera with the Greeks Delphi and Kouzina, living in ancient fortresses, cannot remain atmospheric. Culinary it is also only bodice. If you only have the right to experience Greek saturation for a small coin, then the Kalimera is acceptable, especially as it can be reached in a few minutes walk for all guests in the city that can be reached near the station. I see the price-performance ratio at only four stars. Service: For the very controllable visit there was a Greek in the Middle Ages, as the host and a young stroller were shown prominently on the photos. As not expected, beer and retsina were very fast on the table. Also the appetizer rushed, followed by the additional salad as a "intermediate cycle" and after a short speed, but not yet limit pressure supply, my grill plate was brought. I was politely asked if it's okay and also his duty for three stars. The beer price is very cheap, as for the Karlsberg prevailing in Saarland, €2.20 was due for 0.3 l. The open Greek standard wines come to a cheap € 3.20 for the glass 0.2 l. 0.75 l water is charged with 4.00 €. After dinner a drinkable ouzo is given. My retsina was almost cold. Food: On the map you will find the classic meat dishes from the grill, oven and pan. Beyond the usual two spaghetti dishes (e.g. with gyros and cream sauce and a considerable selection of steaks. The starter selection missed classics such as Florinis or Chtipiti. I went to the number safe and ordered the gigantes from the oven, cooked with feta cheese (4.50 €). A beautiful part of the big beans still bite in a well seasoned tomato oily sauce. A piece of sheep cheese with a discreet taste that had no chance against the sauce. In a basket three thick slices of white bread with a pappy crust, but still soft crumbs. I've listed four stars for the beans. I asked the giants about a pepper mill. A small wood mill with only a few peppers and a weak mill was produced. The Alexandra Keller (12.90 €) was equipped with cattle liver, gyros, grill, suzuki and pork steak, pommes and a Klacks Tsatsiki on the salad leaf. At first glance, it was irritated that the spear was greeted with a light yellow sauce (the "fried sauce" of Meissen, I thought. The pieces of the spear are thick cut and well seasoned, unfortunately very reserved. The liver is not hard grilled, but not delicious. The temples reminded Cevapcici of the outside, but were only hesitant. Pig Steak dry. The Gyros was a choice of risk, because during the low visit you should not expect a freshly placed shoot. At least the sound after the spine was cut with an electric knife. The pieces of meat were slim and slightly spicy. Some cracked sides were clearly hard to roast and let me warm up. It is good to have the fries and herbal salad on the large bowl for the side salad. The head salad half was dominated by a fat dilldressing. The size of the part could also keep the greater hunger. 3.25 stars are suitable for food. Ambience: The restaurant is housed in a simple building and you enter it over half a staircase. With specified 70 seats including the left social space, it is medium size. Columns, dark decorative bars and niches with benches form the basic equipment. A special stylistic element are leather-like wall frames that captivate jewelry elements such as small wall works, large-format landscapes and food pictures. Images from the syrtaki dancing film-Sorbas to landscape motifs. Something broke down. The floor is solid reddished and the ceilings are white. I liked the size of the tables and the movement room. Flouring copper lamps hang over the tables and counters. Small speakers spread Greek folklore with the sound color Syrtaki. The men's toilet has come in years and patchwork in the tile area is not visible. To my astonishment, I saw one of the ladies who used the men's toilet while walking, which bears the assumption that something was wrong in the ladies' toilet. Cleanliness: Everything in the green area."

"Tolle Lokation, sehr guter Service. Das Essen unserer Wahl können wir heute in diesem preisgefüge leider nur als durchschnittlich bewerten. Der Salat war von der Basis her wunderbar, die Garnelen etwas fade und leider nicht heiß. Unsere Burger waren geschmacklich gut aber leider kalt, da die Toppings vor allem Käse Tomate direkt auf den Patties Kühlschranktemperatur hatten. Die (Giabatta)Brötchen waren zudem leider nicht burgergeeignet schwierig zu verzehren mit oder ohne Besteck. Die selbstgemachten Pommes waren sehr gut. Auch Cappuccino und Espresso waren nicht richtig heiß. Wir hatten ein schönes Mittagessen aber das Preis Leistungsverhältnis war heute in Schieflage. Schade, dass es bis dato keine vegetarischen Alternativen zum Menü Tagesgericht gibt."

"Der Gastraum ist schön eingerichtet, sehr nette Details wie wie die witzigen Leuchter aus altem Besteck fallen auf :-). Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Die Speisenauswahl ist nicht riesig – erwartet man in so einem Lokal aber auch nicht – aber sehr abwechslungsreich. Da sollte für jeden Geschmack, der mehr verträgt als "Schni-Po-Ma" was dabei sein. Das Carpaccio von Roter Beete war ausgesprochen schmackhaft, der gebeizte Lachs mit Avocado ebenso. Das waren nur die Vorspeisen. Der Hauptgang war auch als "Kinderportion" erhältlich, praktisch, wenn die Lütte zwar gut aber keine Berge isst. Im Saarland erscheinen mir die Portionen eh' wesentlich größer... Wir hatten einmal Nudeln mit Meeresfrüchten und Kalbsentrecôte. SUPER! Perfekt gebraten. Nachtisch haben wir nicht mehr geschafft. Einzig der Espresso hinterher hätte "'italienischer" sein können. Aber das ist sehr subjektiv und sekundär... Wenn wir nochmal ins Saarland kommen, gehen wir wieder gerne hin!"

"We stayed at the Lava Grill in Saarlouis last night again for dinner, and felt the restaurant experience as well as our first visit 2 years ago, in total as okay, but not as outstanding. In addition to a selection of à la carte dishes, you can also choose an All you can eat Barbecue, where you grill your food yourself on spits over a lavasteingrill prepared in the table. For this purpose, a selection of marinated meat pieces (including pig, beef, chicken and an exotic, with us yesterday kangaroo) as well as various vegetables and supplements (pommes, walnut salad and green salad). The taste and quality of the dishes served for the barbecue was fine, refurbishment came very quickly upon request. Also the dishes à la Carte were tastefully and qualitatively fine. However, we feel that the price of the barbecue is too high, and, alternatively, additional supplements should be provided. The restaurant offers a nice ambience, the high number of grills you smell, thanks to the deductions over the tables, not excessive. The staff was as friendly as possible, but had something to be missed and always had to be addressed. Regarding the barbecue experience, the restaurant is fundamentally recommended, but too high expectations are not met from our point of view."

"What this team puts on is simply the absolute hammer! We've ordered finger food and little things for our wedding here. There were 100 people. All the Caterers we had previously asked that it is not possible to make finger food for so many people, from which everyone is fed, OR it requires exhausted prices that are not oriented in any relation to selection and type of food. The planning of the food was completely free and without tight specifications. On extra wishes and our individual taste was 100% deserved. From planning to delivery of perfect service.
