"I was taken by some friends as a thank you for all the time I spend looking after their property when they are away. They had been before and really hyped it up. I have never been so disappointed in a meal. It was like going to a Michelin starred restaurant and being served something from the local takeaway. The place is beautiful but my meal did not live up to what I anticipated . I know I should have complained but did not want to upset or embarrass my friends. I ordered the linguine pescatore as I love fish of all kinds. I honestly would not have served that in my home. The only flavour was the huge amount of parmesan put on it. The prawns were the miniscule frozen ready cooked ones. There were about 6 small pieces of squid and as for the mussels, there were 9 of which 2 were empty shells, 1 which hadn't opened and the rest minute and dry. There was no chilli, no olives and no sign of caper paste. Don't know where the wine was and about 4 cherry tomatoes. The pasta was over cooked and stuck to itself. I know an espresso coffee is small but I have never had so little coffee in one ever. To say the least this will be my first and last visit."

Took my dad here for Father’s Day dinner and thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening. Food was delicious, atmosphere was amazing and service was brilliant. Highly recommend!

Lovely Christmas dinner, our third in the last three years. Lovely staff presentation just a little slow between courses. Overall it was a great Christmas Day experience. Recommended.

This is definitely the top spot for excellent service, delicious food, and good prices. After a big family meal, this has become our favorite place to go. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. Well done!

We had a large party for a special birthday meal that we booked in advance and the hosts couldn’t have been more attentive. Everything was 5 star, from the staff, ambiance and most importantly food! Nothing was too much trouble and it made for a really special evening. Perfect

Food and service was adequate but lacked real flavour in both starter and main course! The staff were courteous and helpful! But when the final bill arrived it was unrecognisable! The appetizers were good, but the main dishes were disappointing. There were too many staff members who seemed more concerned with appearance than service. The starters were average and could be found at other restaurants. The ravioli dish had four pieces swimming in a tasteless pink sauce, the pasta was overly salty, and the risotto was just okay. I will not be coming back and am glad to be home.

As an Italian myself, I decided to visit Venezia after seeing that it won the award for best Italian restaurant in Nottingham. I booked a table for my fiancè’s birthday; ordered a selection of dishes and everything was up to standards, specially the rib-eye and the tiramisu was to die for. We would definitely go back, excellent service! We were very pleased to chat to the manager and owner of the restaurant too. Keep it up guys, great work!
