Beautiful pub, beautiful location opposite Nunney Castle and fab food. Been a while since I ate here. Took my mum who loved her (slightly smaller portion) fish and chips. My burger was excellent. We attended for a friends 60th birthday dinner. We didn't stay so can't rate the rooms but the service was brilliant! Thank you to Sam and the team, you made the night even more special. The George is a great inn. I stayed one night while visiting friends in Nunney. My double room was warm and cosy with all you would need for a few nights away. Everything was fresh and clean as you would expect. The en-suite shower felt a bit feeble but certainly did the job. The breakfast was good, and the dining room felt friendly as a lone diner. All the staff I encountered were welcoming and helpful. I would certainly recommend The George if you’re looking for somewhere to stay in that part of Somerset. I have booked to go back over Christmas. This time booking a suite for me and my husband, and a double for my son. We are looking forward to it very much.

Love love loved this place. Sam was absolutely wonderful, very warm and welcoming, helpful and informative. We had dinner booked at the pub which was amazing. So fresh and tasty. Service was excellent, pub cosy and comfortable. We also stayed the night in one of their twin rooms which was very clean and tidy. With comfortable beds and everything you could want including WiFi, tv, hairdryer, private bathroom, toiletries, tea coffee hotchoc biscuits water and a view over the castle. I stayed with my friend for one night and we felt very welcome safe and at ease. I have already recommended it to friends and will be back again... Well done guys. Rooms: Very clean and comfortable.
